Wireless sensor

This project is for a wireless sensor for a local church tower simulator, made very cheaply using ‘lucky dip’ components from China. While it could potentially be used for a home simulator, it’s generally unnecessary given the proximity in most cases, where a USB wire would easily reach.

There is a very slight delay which is a property of the radio link which I wasn’t aware of. Luckily this delay seems totally consistent and much less than the delay that will need to be added on Abel anyway. It was soon obvious I was going to need to add antennas to both the transmitter and receiver. I used the following loaded coil design which significantly extends the range:
